What is Juan Stop Shop for Every Juan Masipag?

Juan Stop Shop for Every Juan Masipag is a website developed by the Episcopal Commission for Pastoral Care for Migrants and Itinerant People of CBCP (ECMI-CBCP), that provides information and other matter that the ECMI-CBCP believes beneficial for the Overseas Filipino Workers and their families.  

Juan Stop Shop for Every Juan Masipag is inspired by the Father of Migrants, Blessed John Baptist Scalabrini, idea on serving the migrants. The name was derived from his name “John” translated in Filipino as “Juan” which is a common Filipino first name. “Juan” on Juan Stop Shop for Every Juan Masipag had two meanings: First is “Juan” as One, as the website provides access to information, directories, and other matters which OFWs needed, hence a one stop access for all. Another representation of “Juan” was the OFWs, as they were one of the modern heroes of the Philippines, therefore, the website and application is designed for them and for their families. 

Mission of Juan Stop Shop for Every Juan

The mission of Juan Stop Shop for Every Juan Masipag was to provide information and other matters that every OFW and their families need. Additionally, part of the mission of Juan Stop Shop for Every Juan Masipag’s mission was to gain partners (religious and non-religious, government and non-government, and non-profit organizations/agencies) for providing information, welfare, livelihood, and other beneficial services and needs for the OFWs and their families, for them to become economically, socially, politically, and religiously aware. Lastly, Juan Stop Shop for Every Juan Masipag was to continue the mission of Blessed John Baptist Scalabrini for the migrants.  

Vision of Juan Stop Shop for Every Juan

The vision of Juan Stop Shop for Every Juan Masipag was became part of the community building movement for Filipino migrants overseas through religious and interreligious ways, economically, socially, politically, and religiously aware OFWs on their homeland and where they work together with their family, and amplified evangelizers of the love of Christ towards migrants. 

Goal of Juan Stop Shop for Every Juan

1.  Provide access to beneficial and essential informations and services for OFWs,
2.  Make OFWs and their family economically, socially, politically, and religiously aware,
3.  Provide OFWs a platform to sell their products, build community, and interact with each other,
4.  and Continue and amplify Blessed John Baptist Scalabrini’s mission towards migrants.
