NDPAHT is also an expression of the Catholic Church’s strong commitment to combat trafficking by dedicating one specific Sunday to understanding and reflecting on the issue of this modern-day slavery that undermines a person’s dignity through abuse and exploitation of various forms.
World Day Against Trafficking in Persons
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) is holding an event on July 30, 2023 to raise awareness about human trafficking and to promote and protect the rights of trafficking victims. The event will be held at the Antipolo Cathedral and will be attended by 200 people from NGOs, GOs, LGUs, different church groups, and different diocesan ministries.
